Most business meetings are done online nowadays? Why is this so? Is this a positive or a negative trend?

 

1. 비용절감. 미팅에 필요한 문서들을 프린트할 필요 없이 바로 온라인 공유할 수 있고, 미팅에 필요한 공간을 마련하지 않아도 되며, 미팅에 필요한 컴퓨터나 빔프로젝터 등의 도구가 필요하지 않기 때문이다. 미팅시 제공되는 과자나 식음료 비용도 아낄 수 있다. 

2. 미팅을 위해 출근하지 않아도 되어서 근로자 편의 향상

긍정적 트렌드임

정해진 시간에 정해진 곳에 가야한다는 불필요한 생각에서 벗어나 실용적일 수 있으므로 긍정적. 기술의 발전이 업무의 모습을 바꾼다는 것이 중요. 앞으로 어떤 업무의 모습으로 바뀌어질 지를 상상하며 더 나은 기술 발전을 기대할것임.

In this essay, I will present the reasons why this occurs and conclude that this is a positive trend?

To begin with, advanced technology allows people to communicate online wherever and whenever they want. Since company tends to minimize their cost and maximize their benefits, in this point of view, online meeting is significantly cost-effective in business setting.This happens because operating business meeting online does not require them to prepare places to meet, business material such as computers or projectors and snacks to offer. In addition, There's no need to print related reports for the meeting, rather sharing them online.  

Moreover, virtual meeting improves employee's convinience. Some people could have insufficient time to attend offline meeting due to business trip or meetings with customers. If they could discuss their agenda online, it would be time-effective for employee and could improve their quality of work as well. 

This trend is undoubtedly positive. As our lifestyle is getting practical with the development of technology, it is essential to get out from an unnecessary thought of designated time and place for meeting. When most of a company’s activities become innovative such as online meetings, the company could develop themselves with innovation.
