    Do you like making friends?

Yes, I really like making friends, I'm very extroverted so whenever I go to some places that I can make any other friends, I usually start to talk at the very first time, so that we can  just break ice and smooth the atmostphere.

Q: Do you like making friends?
    A:

Meeting new faces/ knowing new people/

Yes, I do! To me, Meeting new faces is like reading new books.
Yes, I enjoy making friends a lot. I'm quite extroverted, so whenever I'm in a place where I can meet new people, I usually initiate conversations. This helps break the ice and creates a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Meeting new friends also broadens my perspective, and I love learning about others’ experiences and interests.

What do you often talk about with your new friends?

We discuss  a lot of things but recently, we’ve talked about our future because we are currently struggling looking for a job. We’ve had interviews but we often got rejected. So comfort each other and plan what to do next.

I often talk about recent's issues that someone are focusing when I am making friends especially politics, like something that I am recently interested in.

For example, when I make new friends a week ago in an academy, I started talk about how to learn english each other, because that was my recent interest at the moment.

Q: What do you often talk about with your new friends?
    A:
When I meet new friends, I usually start with recent topics or interests that we might share, like current events or hobbies. For example, I recently made a friend at an English academy, and we naturally started talking about different strategies for learning English. It was something we were both interested in, and it helped us connect right away.

Have you made any new friends recently?

Yes, I;ve made, I recently made a new friend in the academy, I can learn about english. becuase I am currently learn in that academy about speaking in english. so I made a friend there, and we were talked a lot about how to learn english fluently

Q: Have you made any new friends recently?
    A:

Oh yes! I’ve made a new friend after joining a community gathering which is a kind of tradition. To be more detailed, there was a woman who seems to be my age. We’re both in the medical field and share interests. So, we had a fun conversation and now, we’re friends.

Yes, I have! I've recently made a new friend at the English academy I’m attending. We both want to improve our English fluency, so we shared a lot of ideas and tips with each other. It’s been great to have someone with similar goals to talk to and practice with.

Did you make a lot of friends when you were a child?

No, When I was a child, I didn't really make a lot of friend, but I just have two-to-three friends, a year, I don't think that;s alot. I am extraverted right now but to be honest, back then, Iwasn't that extraverted, I was intraverted rather, so I just wanted to speak or play with a friend near me. like in the class, there's a seat. and it was allocated and I just wanted to play with the friends who sitted near me.

Q: Did you make a lot of friends when you were a child?
    A:

Yes, I did! It was easy for me to make friends cause as you mght agree, kids don;t care too much about their image or background.

When I was a kid, I just went to the playground and everyone was my friend. No long introductions or speeches, I just played with anyone.

Actually, no, I didn’t make many friends as a child. I was more introverted back then, so I usually preferred to stay with one or two close friends. For example, I tended to play only with classmates who sat near me. It wasn’t until later that I became more outgoing and open to meeting new people.

Describe a time when you answered a phone call from someone you didn’t know in a public place

I would like to talk about when I got a phone call from some advertising about insurance company. I don't know who she was but it sounded like someone from insurerance company, and she was trying to sell her company's products which is insurance. and she was trying to talk about what kinds of products she had and she started to recommend me what kind of insurance products are suitable for me. and I didn't realize that was a advertisement at the very first time but after I listen to quite a lot of talking from her, I realised that was a marketing and I wanted to stop her talking about that because It was just a time consuming  so I said, sorry I couldn't have any kind of insurance like that right now. so It was just ended like that. and I felt little bit weird becuase that was not what I wanted. and I learned that I wouldn't get any call from the person I don't know after that.

    A:
I'd like to describe a time when I received a call from an unknown number while I was walking in the crowded park. It turned out to be a telemarketing call from an insurance company. I didn’t recognize the caller, but she started talking about various insurance products and recommended ones she thought would be suitable for me. At first, I didn’t realize it was a sales call; I thought it might be something important. But after a few minutes, it became clear that she was trying to sell insurance.

Since I didn’t want to spend too much time on it, I politely interrupted and said that I wasn’t interested in purchasing any insurance at the moment. The call ended quickly after that, but I felt a bit awkward because it wasn’t something I expected. It was kind of frustating. After that experience, I decided to be more cautious about answering calls from unknown numbers, especially in public places where I can’t avoid distractions.

Do most people mind others talking on the phone in public places?

Well, yes, at least for me, In the Korean culture, people usually cares of talking in public places especally when they are calling so uasually people do not really want to get the call while they are in the public transportation. so at least for me, for example, when I am taking bus or subway, if I have some really emergency call, I try to go to the place that hasn't have any people alot. I just go to the corner and I try to get that call with just whispering with very low and really small voice, and If it isn't emergency, I wouldn't get that call and send the text insteand and call back after I get off.

Q: Do most people mind others talking on the phone in public places?
    A:
Yes, I think most people do mind it, especially in Korean culture. People generally try to avoid phone conversations in public spaces, particularly on public transportation. For instance, when I’m on a bus or subway, if I get an urgent call, I try to move to a quieter spot, like a corner, and speak very softly. If the call isn’t urgent, I usually ignore it and send a quick text instead, letting the person know I’ll call back later. This way, I can be considerate of others around me.

Is it acceptable to talk on the phone in public?

It depends on. Sometimes it is acceptable and sometimes it isn't. But overall people usually just accept if just people are calling on the phone becuase we are just thinking like, he or she should have emergency or that kind of situations. but if the person is taking a phone call with aloud sound, then that situation isn't aceptable because it is public place. so I mean it depends on the sound of that call.

Q: Is it acceptable to talk on the phone in public?
    A:
It depends on the situation. Generally, people are understanding if someone needs to answer a quick call, assuming it’s urgent. However, if someone is speaking loudly, that’s usually seen as inappropriate because it can disturb others. In public places, especially quiet areas, the volume of the conversation really determines if it’s acceptable or not.

Should people be banned from talking loudly in public places?

Of course, it should be banned. because it is in public situation and we also need to cares of not only ourselves and but also others becuase there could be someone who have a very severe medical conditions who can not afford to hear aloud noises in the same spaces. and we don't really sure about others condition. so especially in the public spaces, we always need to carea bout the noises because we share the spaces.

Q: Should people be banned from talking loudly in public places?
    A:
Yes, I think there should be some restriction on loud phone conversations in public areas. It’s important to consider that we share these spaces with others who might have different needs or sensitivities. For instance, someone might have a medical condition that makes loud noises uncomfortable or even distressing. Being mindful of noise levels helps create a more respectful environment for everyone.

Phone call Phone conversation / quick call / answering call / talking on the phone
    banned be some restriction

What are the differences between sitting next to someone who talks on the phone and sitting next to people who talk to each other while traveling by train?

There are no difference honestly, because if someone who are sitting next to me, if they are making some noises whether they are talking each other or calling, doesn't really care. I mean, if it is too loud, they need to be volume down, but i don;'t think it is different,

    A:
Honestly, there isn’t much difference. Whether the person next to me is talking on the phone or having a conversation with someone else, it can be equally distracting if they’re being too loud. If the volume of their conversation is reasonable, it doesn’t usually bother me. But if it’s excessive, I believe they should be more considerate and lower their voices. So, in my view, the main issue is the noise level, not whether they’re on the phone or talking to someone in person.
