    IELTS/Speaking 2025. 1. 7. 19:48

    January 3:

    1. Are traditional handicrafts important to tourism?

    Original:
Definitely important for their cultural maintenance. Because handicraft is about tradition in their own themes they usually put their traditional soul in that handicraft so it needs to be produced.
However, it is way more than it takes more it takes a lot of time to make. I don't make I don’t think it is always worth it because it's like a lot of plants plant or factories. A factory a lot of machines make a lot of products rather than making handicrafts one by one.

I can think of two aspects. First of all, for tourism, handicrafts are important for tourists. They want to take original products, not mass-produced products. They want to make unique products and only for that country or nation, so tourists like to get that kind of handicraft, but there are a lot of other things, not only handicrafts like foods or luxuries they can get that from nations.

However, it is not that important for handicrafts for tourists. This is because even if there are a lot of qualities that countries have that have for countries, there countries there are other different types of products, so I don’t think it’s important.

    Revised:
Answer: Traditional handicrafts are indeed significant to tourism because they preserve cultural identity.
Explain: Handicrafts reflect the unique traditions of a country, often showcasing the cultural heritage through intricate designs and craftsmanship. Tourists value these original and handmade products as souvenirs, which connect them to the destination they visited.
Example: For instance, many tourists visiting countries like India or Morocco purchase handmade pottery or textiles as keepsakes because they represent the country’s rich culture. However, the downside is that producing these items requires significant time and effort compared to mass-produced goods, which might affect their affordability and availability.

There’s a lot of benefits for students because making things by hand can hand they can improve their creativity and imagination so I think it's good for developing in developing their hand movements. Also movements also it would help in their mental health because when they create something by hand they can relieve their stress and that they can take away their thoughts on things. Lastly, it’s good for morale; they would think they’re good at it. I mean if they make something by themselves they can think, “I did this” and they can learn that they are valuable.

    3. Why do many children like to make things by hand?

    Original:
Well, that’s an interesting question. I’m not knowledgeable about children because I’m not an expert on children, but they like to make things since they love to show their creativity. This is because most children would enjoy showing their creations to their parents. Like when they make something interesting at their daycare center, they are going to show it to their parents and they’re going to feel a sense of satisfaction.

    Revised:

Answer: Children enjoy making things by hand because it allows them to express their creativity.
Explain: Crafting provides them with a sense of accomplishment, especially when they can share their creations with loved ones. This activity not only nurtures their imaginative skills but also strengthens their confidence and emotional connection with others.

    Original:
Well, I’ve never thought of that before, but I think it is really important, especially in the tourist industry, because it is one way they can promote their traditional and their country’s beauty with that handicraft product. A good example would be in the Czech Republic because they have a lot of wooden handicraft products. It makes the tourist fall in love with traditional clothing.

    Revised:
Answer: Traditional handicrafts play a crucial role in a country’s industry, especially in tourism.
