 Something causing continuous problems (plastic bags as environmental issues.

 ex) Plastic bags have been a thorn in the side of environmentalists for decades, causing continuous pollution in oceans and landfills.

 

2. Throwaway culture

 A society that disposes of items after single use.

ex) Our society's throwaway culture encourages the use of single-use plastic bags, which contributes significantly to waste.

 

 

3. Waste not, want not

A principle that emphasize avoiding waste, especially with plastics.

ex) If we truly followed the motto 'waste not, want not', we would all switch to reusable bags instead of relying on plastic ones. 

 

4. Leave a footprint

 The environmental impact of human actions, like plastic pollution. 

ex) Every time we use a plastic bag, we leave a footprint on the planet, increasing the amount of waste in our ecosystems.

 Refers to the damage done to wildlife by plastic.
