The given diagrams illustrate how the city of Nelson has changed since 2000.

Overall, there has been significantly developed and commercialized with the transportation growth.

In 2000, there was a university to the north of the city centre.

Beside the university, there was a huge greenary place with a bunch of trees. A train station was located in the north-western of the university.

In the left side of the city center, there was an old market near the road, which is alongside of the port.

Today, it has notably changed with several new buildings.

The area has undergone notable changes in recent times, with the construction of several new buildings.

The univerisity has been remained constantly, while a tramline has been constructed linked with the city centre.

While the university itself has remained in situ, an additional transport infrastructure has been constructed, comprising a tramline linked with the city centre.

The green area in the vicinity of the university has been replaced by a new shopping centre. On the left side of the university, a hall of residence has been established. Furthermore, the train station was demolished and reconstructed in the location between the city centre and the university. In addition to these developments, the city centre has introduced the bike rental schme. Moreover, the thoroughfare has became exclusively pedestrianized. The old market has been replaced a new shop. In the eastern section of the city centre, new covered market has been opened. Lastly, between the port and the pedestrian thoroughfare, ca restaurant, bars and clubs have commenced operations.
